Fifty years ago today, Willie Nelson stepped onto the original Austin City Limits stage at the now historic KLRU Studio 6A and delivered the performance that became the pilot episode of what became the longest-running live music series in television history. Tonight at the Long Center, Nelson made his long-anticipated return to the ACL stage to celebrate a half-century of ACL.
