Common Black Hawk was probably my biggest target for the northern part of Arizona. After getting brief and unsatisfactory looks the night before, I was lucky enough to stumble across this cooperative individual quietly perched along the banks of Oak Creek, pretty much right in downtown Sedona! Since I found this bird pretty much right in the middle of golden hour, the sunlight filtering through some large cottonwoods made for some really nice bokeh. (Make sure the brightness on your phone is turned up all the way, it looks way better.)
