Utah’s deadhorsepoint is one of the best places to see the Milky Way. 🔭 Utah is full of dark skies. The desolate regions of the state are home to more certified International Dark Sky Parks than anywhere else in the world. We like Dead Horse Point State Park for its location and unobstructed views of the sky for the best views. In 2016, Dead Horse became the first Utah state park recognized as an International Dark Sky Park. Located just outside Moab, the entire park sits on a relatively flat plain that serves as a perfect base to gaze at the night skies.
