“When she says her parents don’t want her to wrestle” …excuse me while I go talk to them for a minute 😂 I still get this question a lot at camps or in messages: “What do I do if my parents don’t want/like/support me wrestling?” It’s tough when you love a sport and don’t have the support you need. But here’s the thing—wrestling offers so many incredible opportunities for young girls. It teaches discipline, resilience, confidence, and respect, and it opens doors to new experiences, friendships, and even scholarships. The values you gain from this sport stay with you for life, and more girls deserve that chance. 💪 It’s also so great to see how much the reception of it has changed. At this weekend’s camp, I had a father tell me “yea I was coaching when you were in high school and I didn’t like it at all that you were wrestling. I was completely against it then.
