“If you take a break, the algorithm will punish you” is all I heard when I started considering this in February, but by March- I knew it was time.
“Punishment” from the algorithm is a small price to pay when it comes to my mental health and I’m taking my power back by choosing to do what works for me.
This last social media break was a MUST and I’m so here for it! I was away from IG the longest, and for a plethora of reasons, it was so refreshing.

Human design isn’t wired to thrive through swiping and feeling a plethora of emotions in a 30 min (and sometimes hours) span just to go on about our day.
I felt the shift within myself that needed to nurture my evolution and stabilize what I’m doing here and by giving myself time away from the screen, sharing loads of my life and consuming a range of content, it gave me the opportunity to do just what I wanted to do- learn and nurture Akilah.
