๐ Meet Tessa!
An Arlington, VA native, she grew up dancing in Ballet Novaโs pre-professional program. Her initial experience with Body Dynamics was as a young injured dancer, which inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University, where she had the opportunity to explore the intersection between physical therapy and the performing arts through research, dancer screening events, and special elective courses with the Physical Therapists of the New York City Ballet. ๐ญ๐ช
Tessa's treatment philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach, recognizing that no body part functions in isolation. Her special interests in Physical Therapy include pelvic floor dysfunction, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Dysautonomia/POTS, and craniofacial and cervical dysfunction.
In her free time, Tessa enjoys tandem biking along the Potomac ๐ดโโ๏ธ, taking ballet classes ๐ฉฐ, and playing with her foster kittens. ๐พ
