I had an incredible evening at the 8th Annual athleteally Action Awards! Thank you, hudsonism for inviting me into this beautiful space, I’m forever grateful! I was honored to share why I became an Athlete Ally ambassador and to celebrate the courageous athletes leading the charge for LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion in sports. It was inspiring to be surrounded by trailblazers like Nikki Hiltz and RK Russell. As one of 400 pro athletes committed to using our platforms for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, I refuse to stay silent on the challenges facing the queer community, both on and off the field. This title holds me accountable to the young queer kids who look up to me and need to see that their dreams in sports are achievable. The future fan wants to show up as their true self, and the future athlete seeks brands and teams that reflect their values.
