The cross country team traveled to Lawrence on Oct. 19 for the Sunflower League meet. The races were hosted by Lawrence Free State High School at Rim Rock Farms. Sophomore Charlotte Hardy placed first in the girls varsity race with a time of 18:53. Hardy finished four seconds ahead of junior Ani Allen from Olathe South, who took second. In the girls JV race, freshman Charlotte Wellman placed 29th with a time of 23:23. Senior Jack Broghammer, with a time of 17:05, placed 23rd in the boys varsity race. In the boys JV race, Junior Emmerson Lindberg, placed first on the team and 47th overall with a time of 19:24. Overall, the varsity girls followed behind Olathe West, placing second and the varsity boys placed 11th overall.
