KICKING UP A STORM: Blue Brigade performs its kick routine during the homecoming pep rally last Friday. For sophomore Peyton Robenhorst, the best part of the pep rally was the crowd cheering on the performers.
“It felt good to perform for the homecoming game,” Robenhorst said. “I knew a lot of people were going to [cheer for us].”
Robenhorst said that while getting to perform a dance is rewarding, there are challenges that come with the process.
“The most challenging part of cleaning a dance is going over it time and time again,” Robenhorst said. “After you repeat a dance so many times, it gets lost in your brain.”
It takes a lot of work to get a team dance performance ready, but each dancer has their own personal ways of getting ready to perform.
“I prepare for a pep rally by drinking a lot of water and stretching,” Robenhorst said. “Also going over the dance a few times before really helps.”
