On the second Friday of the month, Ginny Wedel dances at the VFW Hall in Salem with dozens of others who love Gaelic folk music and the Scottish and Irish social gathering called a “ceili,” which is pronounced “kay-lee.” Neither Wedel nor her husband, Carl Beilstein, or most of the others patterning their steps paced to a fiddle can claim Celtic ancestry.
