A tale of two plane window views. ✈️ Looking out at LA and then… from the moment I opened the blind after a mid-flight nap, to see an emerald-green landscape below me [that could have easily been mistaken for Ireland] to the minute I fell asleep on the first full day on Southern Oregon’s coast… I never doubted that I was in for a treat, spending a week discovering a new-to-me part of a state I’ve been to so many times before, and which is home to so many people I adore. (They clearly have good taste in places to live.) Even the dirty plane window didn’t dim my excitement. The town of Eugene, a college town, the Florence and Coos Bay areas and the dramatic coastline are a treat for the food-loving and culturally-curious traveler who also loves accessible nature experiences that I know so many of you are. And that I am for sure. I’m grateful to our hosts for giving me a week of indulging my curiosity to then share this part of the USA with you and I hope you will enjoy following along n...
