Did anyone wish for a white Christmas and actually get it? We didn’t have snow here in NYC yesterday but we have already had some this winter. In fact, it was snowing when I landed at the airport following my trip to Europe with my mum for our Viking Cruise. So for our first full day together again, @dante.vincent & I went exploring in Central Park. Brilliant yellow leaves were still clinging to the branches of many of the park’s famed Elm trees. In the sunshine it looked like someone had hung bits of gold leaf from the branches. Pop up art? It wouldn’t have surprised me here. But no it was just Mother Nature showing off. To see such a tangible remnant of Autumn in December was a nice surprise since when I’d left, I had expected to miss the rest of it while traveling. I don’t often take for granted how special it is to live in this city and I hope I never do.
