When the time came to check out of
@inverlochycastlehotel and head back down to the city,
@dante.vincent and I both had heavy hearts. Leaving the Highlands is always hard for us because we love Scotland so much and in particular the wild, windswept landscapes that characterize the area. In fact, we both hope to call
#Scotland home one day and if we had to pick a place now, it would surely be somewhere in the Highlands. (Don’t tell him I also plan to have a little cottage in France. The two countries are the two halves of me!) Anyway, we took our time, and lingered around Loch Laggan. That’s where we spotted this gorgeous estate through the last of the Autumn leaves clinging to the twisted trees that line the shore. Danté had rented the Sony 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens from
