For my fellow lovers of architecture, traditional or modern, The #Bregenzerwald region of #visitvorarlberg in @visitaustria has much to offer. Pictured here is one of the installations in BUS:STOP. As the name suggests, it is 7 public bus stops in the village of Krumbach, each designed by a different international architect. They are both functional and beautiful and while modern, each somehow compliments the traditional homes around it and pays homage to some element or aspect of Austrian culture. For instance this installation by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto allows you to walk up a staircase ending in a stunning view of the Austrian countryside and the moorland that Krumbach is known for. To see all 7 you can walk, bike, drive or ride the public buses which are included with your Bregenzerwald Guest Card.
