Also on the North Shore of Oahu, is the @polynesianculturalctr which @dante.vincent & I visited tonight. Recommended by my friends @captainandclark, I wanted to visit the center because after my trip to French Polynesia in 2015, I became very interested in Polynesian culture. The traditions and history of Tonga, Samoa, Tahiti, Fiji and New Zealand (via people of Aotearoa) are represented as well as the culture and traditions of Hawaii through recreated architecture, activities and the live stories of staff who come from the countries they represent. In fact you must actually be from, let's say, Samoa in order to work in the Samoan area of the Center. Every country and people represented have their own village at the center and a luau as well as an evening performance further enhance the learning experience for people like me who actually do want to learn. If it's entertainment you seek, there's an IMAX film and the second show of the night, called Hā: Breathe of Life, is very well done...
