The stunning
@waimeavalleyoahu is rather well known for its waterfall which you can swim up to and explore, the perfect diversion during a really hot day on Oahu. It's not the only draw though. Yesterday,
@dante.vincent & I couldn't stop photographing this garden-of-edenesque valley on the island's North Shore. From the peacock showing its full plumage to the vibrant flowers blooming above our heads and below, to the preserved cultural elements to the soaring trees that created magical shadows as the sun filtered to the pathways beneath our feet...it really is a special place. Aunty Palapala will greet you with beautiful flowers in her hair and if you have time to hear her stories, you'll walk away feeling such love, so that the sign you pass under as you walk back to your car is one that means so much more. It says "Mahalo é ho'i hou mai" which Aunty helped me understand means, "Thank you very much, come back again!" 🌺🌴
