My last night in @bayern was spent by walking up a mountain in a human train of torch-bearing fellow travelers, sampling the full range of @zoetlerbier 🍺 next to a bonfire and then enjoying the culinary delights of @hotel_oberstdorf in an Alpine cabin full of Christmas decorations and fascinating conversation in multiple languages with people from more than 1/2 a dozen countries. It was so lovely I just didn't think my time in Germany could have gotten any better. Until I woke up before dawn to drive to Munich and just as we were leaving @hotel_oberstdorf, saw this colorful sunrise making its way over the nearby mountain peaks. I only had a day and an evening in Allgäu after #GNTBsummit and a lot was packed into that short period of time that I'll remember forever but I also kind of thought of the phrase, "saved the best for last" when I saw this display. 🌄 Nature can be such a show off but I don't really mind her.
