It has been a long time since I shared an almost exactly in real time photo because I'm always too busy and playing catch up, too worried about how the grid will look or some other silliness. But if I'm gonna break my streak, I hope this is a good way to do it? 🙏🏼 This was my view for date night here in NYC tonight with my ❤️ @dante.vincent. Nothing too fancy, just playing the tourist in our own home city. A city so many people always tell us they wish they lived in too. For us, it's just the place we're constantly hustling in and always struggling with. It's never as easy or as glamorous as it actually looks....but it is home. For now. And tonight when I was looking through the barrier at Top of the Rock, out to the Empire State Building and over to the Chrysler, as the sun set and a tiny rainbow appeared overhead I understood: there's always some part of us as human beings that wants what we don't have and struggles to love what we do.
