I had pre-conceived notions of what I wanted to capture during this trip to Mexico. A rarity for me since usually I go without any and I just let the destination speak for itself. Yet somehow this time was different. And perhaps as a lesson from the universe, between the fact that it rained for half of my trip and the fact that I didn't have the time to simply wander on my own as I would have liked -- I of course didn't really get any photos that I had dreamed up in my head. This comes close! You see I'd wanted colorful doors and facades but hadn't seen them really. Just a lot of white. Then as we were driving into the mountains one day, we sped past these two homes and I thought how lovely the color was as it blurred in my vision. In a split second I asked to stop and I jogged back down the road to take this photo.
