I really liked the towns in the Eastfjords, especially Fáskrúðsfjörður. We had the most delightful overnight stay of our trip to Iceland thus far there, at the Fosshotel. The town has a connection to France through shipping and fishing so there's a museum and memorial all about that which is interesting to visit & the restaurant in the hotel had such.good.food. 😍 that Danté and I both agree it's the best meal we've had in Iceland. (When you visit, order the Steak or Baby Back Ribs with one of their salads. And a glass of Rosé!) Yet my favorite thing was probably all of the colorful houses and details in town.
