It wouldn't be a proper experience in Chile without a visit to wine country so I was really happy when I found out that @upscapetravel also does bike tours of the Casablanca Valley. We left Santiago early in the morning and drove through the coastal Andes where low-lying fog created a moody start to the adventure. Just as we turned off the main road and entered the gates of @EmilianaOrganic, the sun broke through the clouds and my heart jumped in my chest. Emiliana is the most lush place I saw while in Chile and that starts right at the gate where olive trees, gigantic lavender bushes, red roses and row after row of grapevines all line the drive down to the main buildings. Giant bees swarm in and out of hives and chickens roam freely on emerald green patches of grass. The wines are delicious as well!! My favorites were the whites in their 'Novas' Gran Reserva line.
