Professional playwrights, actors and a director are collaborating with #SBU climate scientists! On Monday, Oct. 28, “Science on Stage” will feature three, one-act plays on the theme of climate change followed by a panel conversation between the playwrights and the scientists about the creative process and the value of interdisciplinary efforts at Stony Brook. Before the plays, catch the debut of a piece by music professor Margaret Schedel, called “Carnival of the Endangered Animals.” Founder Ken Weitzman, associate professor in the Department of English and affiliated faculty with the Alda Center for Communicating Science, says these shows play to the audience’s imagination around environmental issues — and hopefully spark interest to work collaboratively to study and discuss climate science anywhere and everywhere at Stony Brook. #SBUClimateSolutions Science on Stage is free, but be sure to reserve your seat! #LinkInBio
