The enormity of one of the most central features of Glen Coe: The Three Sisters, can't be adequately described with words. Pictures require a full frame camera with a wide lens, or a panorama image. So I tried to capture just one of the three, using @dante8 as a "scale" and even so I think this falls flat. Such a worthwhile stop on your trip through the Glen because the Three Sisters manage to show quite vividly what is hard to picture in other parts of the valley, that the massive natural structures were carved by glaciers and perhaps even before that, volcanoes. It's estimated that the earliest inhabitants arrived some 8,000 years ago. Today, 5,800 hectares are cared for and preserved by the National Trust for Scotland and are part of a National Scenic Area. A magnificent area to hike or walk with varied colors all year round, even in the depth of winter. #blogmanay
