I loved Glencoe, and despite its sad history, I think it's stunningly beautiful. But after a day in Glen Etive with @dante8, @lozula and @runawayjuno I think it might be even more beautiful than Glencoe. In a different way. It's more varied, with more trees, more wildlife and a more diverse landscape overall. This lone tree was at the place we decided to stop and turn around after hours and hours of stopping. It's at the start of a Loch and when we did pause, there was a dense cloud bank that made it look like we'd come, not to a pause in the road, but to the end of the earth. Then the sun broke through and the scene became even more dramatic. For a long time I've said Scotland was one of my favorite countries. But I think when it comes to landscape alone, it's actually my favorite country. I cannot thank @edhogmanay enough for bringing me back a third time. The days spent with the #blogmanay team are turning out to be some of my favorite days of the year.
