Ruby Franke's eldest daughter Shari has addressed Utah lawmakers to advocate for further protections for child influencers. In a lengthy statement, the 21-year-old said she was raising awareness on 'the dangers of family vlogging'. Shari's mother Ruby, who was a popular influencer and YouTube star, was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison in February for brutally abusing her 12-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter in a 'concention camp-like setting'. Addressing the Business and Labor Interim Committee on Oct 16, Shari said, 'I don't come today as the daughter of a felon, nor a victim of an abnormally abusive mother. I come today as a victim of family vlogging.' She continued, 'It is more than just filming your family life and putting it online.
