With the Stars up two sets to one, set four was a must-win for the McCallum Knights and that’s just what they did. The Knights beat the Stars 25-17.
The Stars started off the fourth set on the board first. However, due to sophomore Sienna Martens’ blocks and junior Aaniya Thornton’s digs, the Knights found themselves up 4 to 3.
Junior Lexi Rosenblatt then goes on a seven-point serving run with a combination of aces, blocks by Martens and junior Kafia Jackson-Wood, and digs by Thornton.
The Stars then step up to serve but sophomore Tiara Cooks and senior Greta Carlson combine to get it over the net putting the Knights up 12-7.
Senior Sophie Koch then gets a kill putting the Knights up by another point.
Carlson then has three consecutive serves bringing the score to 15-10. Senior Kai Talebi then subs into the game for a five-serve run. Her second serve was helped won by a Stars’ double touch. Rosenblatt then has her first tip of the set putting the Knights in front 18-11. On Tale...
