1782 SHIPWRECK ARTIFACTS!These copper pots were some of the first artifacts that our archaeologists remember seeing when they discovered this Revolutionary War shipwreck from 1782 in the Atlantic Ocean in St. Augustine, Florida. The pots were nested together, which is why the smallest one is in the best shape. You can artifacts from the shipwreck in the WRECKED! exhibit in the Keepers’ House first floor and basement and through the PGA Viewing Window in the Charles G Cox Archaeology Conservation Lab at the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. Museum hours are 9 AM-6 PM seven days a week.
