#QuentinTarantino stands proudly as one of the few people praising
#JokerFolieàDeux after it bombed with both critics and at the and box office.
The acclaimed director couldn’t say enough good things about the Joaquin Phoenix-led sequel as he appeared on “The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast.” Tarantino proclaimed his love for a film that he thought going in might not “quite work as a movie,” while explaining that he’s “nihilistic enough” to still enjoy a feature like that.
“I really, really liked it, really. A lot. Like, tremendously, and I went to see it expecting to be impressed by the filmmaking,” Tarantino said. “But I thought it was going to be an arms-length, intellectual exercise that ultimately I wouldn’t think worked like a movie, but that I would appreciate it for what it is.
