How to use pocket cloth diapers in 30 seconds or less. 1. Set the rise - this means using the snaps along the front of the diaper to shorten the overall length of the diaper to fit your baby. 2. Stuff the diaper - using the absorbency of your choice, stuff the insert into the pocket opening of the diaper. This may require some folding if your baby is on the smaller side. 3. Put on baby - this can be the tricky part. Lay your baby no top of the diaper. Cup the center of the diaper in your hand like a taco shell, and pull the front of the diaper toward baby’s belly button then fasten and secure the waist snaps — not too tight! 4. Check for gaps - lift baby’s legs and check for gaps where pees and poos might escape. Tuck any lining fabric that might be showing into the diaper to prevent wicking onto baby’s clothing. 5.
