The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room launches today, with four books chosen by Her Royal Highness. We’re delighted to see some Booker titles and authors in the mix, from Hilary Mantel’s 2020 Booker Prize-longlisted novel ‘The Mirror and The Light’, twice nominated author William Boyd’s ‘Restless’, and 2019 Booker Prize-shortlisted author Elif Shafak’s ‘The Architect’s Apprentice’. The Duchess of Cornwall has been a firm supporter of The Booker Prize every year since 2013. HRH presented the Man Booker Prize to Anna Burns in 2018, in 2019 the Booker Prize joint winners, Margaret Atwood and Bernardine Evaristo, were invited to tea with The Duchess at Clarence House, and in 2020 HRH gave a speech in our virtual Booker Prize ceremony without walls.
