This is Toyota’s answer to the Mercedes AMG One and Aston Martin Valkyrie. Called the GR Super Sport, this sleek hypercar was essentially Toyota’s homologation special waiting in the wings for the WEC’s new (at the time) top class category, Le Mans Hypercar. As the regulations evolved, the Japanese company kept developing the race car for the road into a street legal monster. All 1000hp came from a 2.4L twin turbo V6 and hybrid system that was ripped out of their Le Mans winning TS050. Things were looking great but then in 2021 we stopped getting updates.
