This is how race car drivers train even when they’re at home.
Today at bbi Autosport, I went to a Sim Racing test drive event hosted my Simcraft.
These sim rigs are not like your Logitech home simulator, and they are tested to be as close as possible to the real driving feel.
Their top of the line simulator has been tested to be 90% accurate compared to real world racing when it comes to how the driver’s neurons, heart rate, and other parts of the body react. Many drivers prep themselves using simulators to create muscle memory. Some of the drivers including Jordan Taylor and Ashton Harrison use Simcraft’s racing simulators.
I did about 5 laps around Laguna Seca in a 992 GT3 R, and I felt really immersed. Mind you, this is without the VR headset. You can really feel the elevation change, especially when you drop down at the corkscrew. I was also sweating a lot, and you can really tell what the drivers go through in each race.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and shoutout to...
