R E M E M B E R 👼🏽 Today I remember my daughter. Not only is it the first day of Dia de los Muertos where we honor the little angels gone too soon, but it is also the opening bookend to my daughter’s birth (and death) month. I lost my daughter Ava in 2014 stillborn at 33 weeks. It is why I started thisseasonsgold 💛 almost 10 years ago. What started in 2020 recreating the first barbie mattelcreations Dia de Los Muertos doll in honor of Ava, has become an every two years tradition. (See last images for 2022 and 2020) While I am not a makeup artist or designer, I do pride myself on the time spent recreating these signature dolls in as much detail as possible as a way to feel close to Ava in my own special way.
