Early voting is exactly what it sounds like: It’s a chance for registered voters to cast a ballot before Election Day. Early voting is open from now through Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the designated early voting location in each town. There are even extended early voting hours on Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. These dates include weekends. This fall marks Connecticut’s first-ever early voting period that includes a presidential race. Connecticut Public’s State Government Reporter, Michayla Savitt ( @michaylasavitt ), hit the streets of New Haven, Hamden, and Bethany to hear from voters and poll workers how early voting is shaping the state’s political landscape this year.
