I had the tremendous honor of hosting the @nyliberty Championship Parade Ceremony at City Hall for the 2024 @WNBA Champions!!! This is my hometown team- the team my mother used to take us to go watch as little girls growing up in Queens, NY. (see pics at the end) My mom was not an athlete. She just saw this newborn league called the #wnba & thought: “I want my girls to be exposed to this”. And guess what? I grew up as a girl who believed ALOT was possible. I’ve always had big dreams & a big heart. So 1) thank you mom, I wish you could have been there for the parade ceremony & 2) imagine what TODAY’s young girl will believe is possible to dream for when looking at this collection of excellent women on the NY Liberty!! These representations, these realities are so important…. seeds are planted today that will continue to bear fruit decades from now!
