Kol Hakavod to Wendy Litner ’98 on the premiere of her new television series My Dead Mom! The show, which dropped on cravecanada this past Friday, was created by Wendy (pictured with her brother Geoff Litner ’91 and her dad) and explores her unique grieving journey after losing her mom. Wendy brings humour and heart to a tough topic, a balance she credits to her Jewish education. “My Hebrew school education gave me the foundation to explore my Jewish identity — even in the quirkiest ways,” Wendy shared when asked about writing her semi-autobiographical character, played by Lauren Collins. “Ms. Tepper, my Grade 12 English teacher, once assigned us a personal essay prompt. It was the first time I wrote something funny, and that’s when I knew I wanted to be a comedy writer.” #findyourself #tanenbaumchat #thepowerofalumni
