#mathematical insights (mostly in the 1970s and 1980s)
#explaining surprising and useful
#quantum phases of
#matter, including certain types of superconductors and superfluids. The results are
#fascinating in their own right, revealing
#nature's rich repertoire for configuring matter, but have the potential for great
#impact in areas including
#electronics, superconducting materials and perhaps even in quantum
#computers.
