The Super-Kamiokande (or “Super-K”) detector is one of the largest
#neutrino detectors on
#Earth, and it may soon get a lot better at
#hunting for these elusive little
#particles, which are everywhere but interact very weakly with matter.
#Scientists at Super-K recently approved a plan to make the detector about thousand times more sensitive by adding a compound called gadolinium sulfate.
