#Science and #story #Repost @eintervital ・・・ On Thursday I attended the @worldscifest and went to the science and story: nature's dramas panel with John hockenberry, Diane Ackerman, Dan fagin, David quammen, Rebecca skloot, and Neal Stephenson. It was so good! I hated science when I was in school but now I have a better appreciation for it. I'm more fascinated than ever and I really want to read their books, esp skloot's the immortal life of Henrietta, I wish I bought it and got it signed. Oh well. Ackerman said that things aren't as dismal as they seem and can be reversible. And I forget who said this but they said science is provisional and can be revised and corrected. I hope I said it right. I kinda wish the panel was longer, it was really brilliant. Now I want to read more scientific #books. I got my Ackermans and Stephenson books #signed. I haven't finished any of them but it's going to feel good knowing they had their author's #autograph. So neat! #wsf15
