The parasitic flowering
#plant Rafflesia has no
#leaves, roots, or
#stem; it spends most of its life inside the body of its host (usually some
#vine belonging to the grape family). But when it’s time to reproduce,
#Rafflesia develops a huge, fleshy
#flower that smells of rotten meat, all the better to attract the
#flies that help spread its
#pollen.
