Congratulations on retirement to Sherry Schoolfield, our Senior Housekeeping Supervisor!! Sherry concludes 25 years of employment at Virginia Tech today 🧡🦃 In 2020, Sherry won Virginia Tech's President's Award For Excellence, and in her nomination Frank Shushok said: "Traditionally, housekeeping is an area with a high turnover rate of employees, but under Sherry’s leadership, the turnover in Recreational Sports has lowered. This is due to Sherry’s willingness to go ‘all-in’ for her staff. She goes above and beyond for her staff, and is always the first to show up early, stay late, or come in on an extra day to make sure that the facilities are top notch.” As she enters this new phase, she shared that spending time with her grandbabies is what she's most looking forward to about retirement. We will miss you so much and love you, Sherry!
