We stand with Hokie Nation on this Day of Remembrance and live to honor the 32 individuals who lost their lives 15 years ago on April 16, 2007 🧡🦃 On April 16, 2022, the Ceremonial Candle at the April 16 Memorial will burn for 24 hours. Flowers and wreaths will be placed at the memorial and individual memorial stones. The 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance will begin with a moment of silence at 9:43 a.m. and continue with a 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus that begins and ends on the Virginia Tech Drillfield near the April 16 Memorial and passes by landmarks such as the Duck Pond, the Grove, the Virginia Tech Pylons, and will take runners and walkers through Lane Stadium. There are virtual participation opportunities as well. Hokies can run, walk, or jog on their own and post a picture online using #VT32Run.
