Third-year comprehensive design major Julian Clensy recently premiered his animated short film at London's Noli Me Tangere Films Festival. A first-generation college student, Julian began as a computer science major in consideration of financial security. When Julian realized he'd rather be creating digital art than coding, an academic advisor suggested comp design, which has allowed him to explore animation, architecture, and UX design. "I'm really glad I made that decision," Julian said. "If I could do it all over again, I would choose it without hesitation. Find a major you're passionate about. It sounds cliché, but it's true—your happiness and interest in your work matter. Don't let money be the only focus."
