USMNT legend DaMarcus Beasley was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He then went on to play professional soccer in England, Germany, the Netherlands, Mรฉxico, and MLS.
Now heโs back in Fort Wayne as co-owner and director of football operations of Fort Wayne FC, and his ownership group is bringing a soccer-specific stadium and professional soccer to Fort Wayne. ๐๐พ
The club announced plans to build a soccer-specific stadium, which can have a capacity of 9,280 including standing room only. It is expected to finish by 2026.
Currently a semi-professional club competing in USL League Two, they also will make a major announcement soon to transition into a fully professional club.
Aside from working to bring professional soccer and a stadium to Fort Wayne, Beasley also runs youth soccer camps there called โBeasley Fรบtbol.โ
Itโs great to see Beasley giving back to his hometown and helping the sport grow there.
