STUDIO LIGHTING is one of the most intimidating things to learn in photography. But once establish a base understanding of the technicality, and what equipment is necessary to achieve the look you want, your power is endless ⚡️
Here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way:
1. When coming up with a setup, light from the back forward. Start but lighting your background, then your subject — light your photograph in layers 🗺️
2. Knowing what modifiers do what. Some modifiers produce harsher light, others softer light. Understanding how and when to use each one will help you paint light more intentionally. 🎨
3. There are no rules. Go for FEELING, not for technical prowess ❤️
4. Copy others at the beginning to help you learn. Learn from the setups in this video!
Now go make something 📸🎥
