Running 100 miles is never easy. Running on a track for 24 hours, on the other hand, is a mind-blowing challenge. π€―
The Desert Solstice Track Invitational this past weekend put the physical and mental endurance of ultra athletes to the test, and despite the tough day our
#rabbitELITE team showed up big! In 24 hours, runningmandie completed 551 laps for a total of 137 miles, (nailing a 100-mile and 24-hour PR) placing 4th female to currently qualify for the 2023 USA 24-Hour National Team. π ultrajakejackson also completed a respectably amazing 472 laps for 117 miles. He still holds 2nd in the qualifiers for the National Team. π
βThe track format is such a different beast compared to a point to point race,β Mandie Holmes said. βItβs critical to be secure in your βwhyβ because you have the opportunity to quit every quarter mile. As my race diverged further from my dream race each lap put my why to the test. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done.β
Well done and congratu...
