Country music legend and trailblazer, Loretta Lynn, has passed away at the age of 90. She died Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn, a coal miner's daughter, became a music icon for her progressive lyrics about life and love, and growing up in the rural parts of Appalachia.
Over her 60+ years in the music industry, she became known for many break out songs including "Coal Miner's Daughter", "You Ain't Woman Enough", "Rated X", and "Don't Come Home a Drinking (With Lovin' On Your Mind)" to name a few.
Lynn was also the first woman ever to be named entertainer of the year by the Country Music Association in 1972 and then three years later by the Academy of Country Music.
