The Section 1 Class AAA final on Saturday, Nov. 9 was a rematch of the last year's semifinals. The top-seeded Patriots got the best of second-seeded North Rockland this time winning 3-1 (25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20) at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. "North Rockland has amazing offense, but we do too," John Jay-East Fishkill coach Maria Mahoney said. "And we had a great day receiving serve. Anyone who knows volleyball knows it comes down to serving and passing. We set this as our goal in August and we worked every day to get here. To win is the cherry on top."
