Growing up as a military kid gave me a unique perspective on the world — from moving to different states, experiencing Hawaii’s culture, to witnessing first-hand the true meaning of sacrifice, teamwork, leadership, and dedication. My dad served for over 30 years, retiring as Chief of Staff at one of the largest usarmy bases in the US. My mom also became a pillar in the community, supporting troops and their families through both moments of celebration and times of tragic loss.
