Kansas City is ranked worst in the nation for chronic homelessness, according to the Annual Homelessness Assessment Report (AHAR). Hope Faith, a nonprofit organization in Northeast Kansas City, will open an emergency shelter, a temporary residence in the cold, on Dec. 1.
